Witcombe Surveying and Conservation Limited
David Witcombe started a BSc in Building Surveying in 1999, working as a Surveyor in 2001 and became a Chartered Surveyor in 2006. He completed a part time MSc in Building Conservation in 2012.
David is a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Affiliate member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
With almost 20 years’ experience as a surveyor, he has carried out surveys on thousands of houses, hundreds of Listed Buildings and won a heritage award for an extension to a Listed Building. Specialising in Listed and older buildings, he has vast experience on defects in theses type of properties and his surveys are always thorough but with a concise summary to help clients make decisions. Other surveying practices often bring David in as a Consultant when there is a complicated Listed Building Survey needed.
He has overseen the conversion of Listed barns to holiday lets, undertaken building surveys on all types of building including Hotels, Oast houses and the Grade I Listed Sheffield Park House and has been commissioned by Local Councils to report on the condition of their public buildings.
Other interests include spending time with his wife and two year old twins, Bea and Belle. He is a member of Hastings Runners and Hastings and Rother Triathlon Club including weekly runs and cycles with the occasional longer ride to Paris and Brussels.
Before Bea and Belle came along, travelling included trekking wild gorillas in the Congo, horse riding through caiman infested waters in Brazil, a fly drive across the Southern States of USA and archaeological tours of Egypt and Rome.
